Our family has a long history in the trucking industry, particularly through Gonzalez Trucking. Founder Roberto Gonzalez Sr. began his career as a yard goat at a mechanic yard, where he was once asked to step into a road truck during an emergency when a driver fell ill. That moment launched his full-time trucking career, which eventually led to the establishment of Gonzalez Trucking.
In 1985, he officially entered the industry and later purchased his first cab-over truck, hauling freight throughout California, including Campbell’s Soup loads for Mike Conrado in the late 1980s. Shortly after, he spent six years hauling peach loads across the Tecate border to Modesto and back, a chapter that inspired the peach featured in the González Trucking logo. Today, Gonzalez Transport LLC remains family-owned and operated, serving produce shippers across California and Arizona.
